Saints Korfball

Korfball is a fast-paced ball sport with similarities to netball and basketball that originated in the Netherlands. It is played between two teams of eight consisting of four male and four female players, making it one of only a few mixed-gender team sports. Points are scored by shooting through a hoop that is 3.5m high; half a metre higher than basketball and netball nets and without a backboard. Defending rules and controlled contact make this an exciting sport that requires quick thinking and sharp changes in direction – the only real way to understand it is to come along and try it out.
